My name is Justine Buss. I am a teaching artist, theatre practitioner (actor, stage manager, playwright, scholar, singer) and a writer (plays, poetry, stories, murder mystery parties). I believe in the power of written and spoken word and I am a champion of creativity. I have a soft spot for Shakespeare and seafood, love handwritten letters, and I collect names (but not in the creepy Rumpelstiltskin way).
If you are interested in hiring me, please visit the “My Teaching Artist Services” page to see what I might be able to offer you as a teaching artist. Additionally, feel free to check out my current resume to review my qualifications: Justine B. Buss Theatre Teaching Artist.
WHY THIS BLOG?
I started this blog in part because it seemed like a flexible place to play around with my thoughts and ideas about teaching artistry. I also hope that blogging will help me cultivate my creativity. After all, a teaching artist is an artist and I need to keep crafting in any and all ways so that I always have something fresh and real to offer my students.
My hope is that this blog will be my creativity juicer, my constellation, my map, my memory bank, and my playground as I sally forth into the abundant wilderness of teaching artistry and beyond.
